Real Not Rare

My name is Ernest Ramirez. I am a single parent to Ernesto Ramirez Jr. (both pictured right).

My son Ernesto Ramirez Jr. was born November 11, 2004. Ernesto was healthy, energetic and kind. He never gave me any problems growing up. He enjoyed playing video games, fishing, camping and loved playing baseball. My son aspired to follow in his brother’s footsteps and join the air force to serve his country.
In late March 2020, like the rest of the world, we were scared and worried. We isolated and stayed indoors to protect ourselves. When the vaccine became available, I decided to vaccinate myself to protect my son since my job required me to have contact with the public.

Later, I learned that there was a vaccine that would be available for teens. As a precaution, I waited to sign up my son for the vaccine. On April 19, 2021, I took him to get his first dose of the Pfizer vaccine.

Five days later my son was playing basketball with his best friend, he ran cross court and collapsed. He was picked up by an ambulance, taken to the hospital and shortly thereafter he was pronounced dead. Ernesto Jr. died of an enlarged heart (myocarditis) due to the Pfizer vaccine.

Update. Real Not Rare will be transferring articles to the Vaccine Safety Research Foundation. (https://www.vacsafety.org/about-us). The date of transfer is currently scheduled for January 5, 2025.
